Stop KFC from turning rainforests into TRASH!

http://kfc-secretrecipe.com/revolts/71182?locale=en_us&show=1

When's the last time you ate something at KFC??
My last time...???? Hmmmm it's been years and I'm damn proud of it!
Next time you eat a fried chicken, think twice.
The only enjoyable part about eating  at KFC or Mcdo is that it just satisfies your craving for its taste.
Everything else is just plainly harmful for yourself and everything else!
It takes a little courage and lots of will to care for yourself and the environment.

The process is pretty easy, so please join me now to actually commit to do something about it!
Signing up means you care!

Top 10 Beach Drinks!

I couldn't help but saving the page down when I read about it!
I mean what's better than spending your days at the beach with a couple of  juicy sweet drinks in a hot blazing summer day, right?
Here's the list of what the majority liked in order and which places serve the best drinks, and by experience the list is pretty good!

          1.Piña Colada, Puerto Rico

Pina Colada
The pineapple, coconut, and rum slurry known as piña colada had been popular in the Caribbean for at least a hundred years before Ramon "Monchito" Marrero, a bartender at the Caribe Hilton’s Beachcomber Bar (now called Oasis Bar) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, perfected it in the 1950s using cream of coconut. Today, San Juan’s signature cocktail is sipped all over the world, but tastes best in Puerto Rico, by the beach or pool.

My comment: I couldn't agree any more, pina colada has been my favourite cocktail ever since I first tasted it. It was mouth orgasmic. I loved everything with Malibu in a drink!

2.Caipirinha, Brazil

Caipirinha
Caipirinha(Kai-pi-rin-ya),made with sugar, lime, and cachaça—a spirit fermented from sugarcane juice— the caipirinha is ubiquitous in Brazil’s seaside cafés. Even vendors on the beach mix them. Variations abound, the most popular is caipifrutas, which adds one or more of the region’s wide array of fruits, such as caju (cashew fruit), passionfruit, mango, or kiwi.

My comment: Never tasted it, but I watched a video on how to make one, and it seems quite easy to make, but the main ingredient for this drink is the cachaca. Seems good to me, any comments about this one?

    3.Mai-Tai, Polynesia

Mai-Tai
Upon tasting this cocktail of rum, orange curaçao, orgeat syrup (made from almonds), and lime at Polynesian-style lounge Trader Vic’s (then called Hinky Dink) in Oakland, California, in 1944, a Tahitian guest remarked, “maita'i ro'a 'ae,” meaning “out of this world.” Hence the name mai-tai, or so the story goes. The drink got a boost in Elvis’s hit movie Blue Hawaii and has since become a staple at tiki lounges everywhere.

My comment: I never knew mai-tai originated from polynesia, but it makes sense! Don't have much complaints about it, it tastes fruity! If you like fruity flavours, you can't really say no to most of the cocktails you drink.

4.Red Stripe Beer, Jamaica

So identified is Red Stripe with the Jamaican national identity that when the island formally gained independence from Great Britain in 1962, one columnist suggested the real date should have been 1928, when the beer was first brewed on the island in Kingston. After a couple of marketing glitches in the U.S. market, the lager is now the most popular of all Caribbean beers.

My comment: I have never been to America (the continent), so I would never know. I'm not a fan of beers, but there's a first try for everything, so I wouldn't mind to try it! How does it taste like?

5.Daiquiri, Cuba

Strawberry Daiquiri
Thanks to the prevalence of rum, lime, and sugar in the Caribbean, the trio became the base for many of the region’s cocktails (as well as the British sailor’s grog). Named for a beach near Santiago, Cuba, the first daiquiri was allegedly invented by a group of American engineers working in the area whose gin supplies had run dry. The drink today is more recognizable to Americans in its fruit-flavored frozen form.

My comment: After looking it up, it seems like the most famous one is the strawberry, then cherry and lime.
I know a lot of people don't like strawberry in their cocktails because it would taste like medicine, but I have no judgement on that.

6. Margarita, Mexico

Margarita
Was it a Texas socialite in Acapulco who was looking for something to refresh her party guests on a hot afternoon or a bartender in Tijuana hoping to impress Rita Hayworth (née Margarita Cansino) with a drink in her honor? Regardless of who invented the margarita—the stories are legion—the tart blend of tequila, cointreau, and lime juice in a glass rimmed with salt has become synonymous with Mexico. It’s the top-selling tequila cocktail worldwide.

My comment: So I personally would not make this my top choice of a cocktail drink, simply because I am not too fond of tequila nor salt. It's just too much for my mouth to handle. Lol, I'm not a wuss. Depends on my mood as well.

7.Limoncello, Southern Italy

When life gave farmers in southern Italy surplus lemons, they soaked the peels in grain alcohol and added sugar to make limoncello. The sweet-tart digestivo is traditionally sipped after dinner, but is gaining ground as a base for simple cocktails, such as splashed over ice with soda or tonic water, preferably enjoyed while taking in the stunning seaside vistas of the Amalfi Coast.

My comment: I have never heard of this in my life, but after searching it up, my god! This thing looks delish! It's a must have! Going to taste it whenever I can!

8.Cape Codder, Massachusetts

When cranberry giant Ocean Spray began to promote its juice cocktail as a mixer, suggestions to pair it with Canadian whiskey or rum fell flat. But vodka and cranberry—named the Cape Codder in honor of the beloved Massachusetts peninsula where cranberries thrive—hit it big, spawning multiple variations, including the trendier martini hybrid, the cosmopolitan.

My comment: I never knew cranberry juice mixed with vodka is called cape codder, I just know it as cranberry vodka(like mostly everyone does). Anyways, it gets boring after a couple of times, made me want to vomit after drinking like 6 cups of it in a row. Blegh.

9.Rosé, Côte d'Azur, France

Rose, France
Drinking pink has just started to catch on stateside, but a glass of chilled dry rosé has long been de rigueur in the seaside cafés of France’s Côte d'Azur, alongside fish soup and langoustines. Typically made by removing the skins of the red grapes after crushing, rosé is thought of as the less-serious sister to white or red wine, making it the ideal beachside quaff in Saint Tropez.

My comment: Never tasted it before, but I have tasted something similar, and if it's just as good and famous as people say it is, then I have no doubt. It also depends whether or not you like to drink "light" wine. (I do)

10.Gin and Tonic, India

Cucumber&Rosemary G&T
Gin was first introduced to tonic to offset its bitter taste so the British, who were occupying India at the time, could stomach the stuff as an anti-malarial. The Brits ended up fancying the crisp combo, adding a wedge of lime, and it became a mainstay of the tropics long after the empire fell. Try it on the beach in Goa while watching the sun set.

My comment: If you drink you know this. If you don't drink, you probably have seen or heard of it! Might not be that great in the beginning, but it's different for everyone else. I would not drink this unless I really feel like tasting something bitter. (now why would i want to taste something bitter on purpose??hah.)

Alright, so that's the list! PINA COLADA rules, and for those who haven't tasted it, please do. You will not regret it. You may not love it as much as I do, but all girls love this. Most girls prefer cocktails. As I said, what you drink depends on who you are with, where you are, and what kind of mood you're in. If I planned on having the night getting really messy with a few games and competition, then by no doubt would I say no to any drink! Bring it, because I'm in to win it!

This is my earth hour challenge! I thought I might as well do something that can make a small difference.
Basically all you have to do is eat 50% less or no meat until Dec 14th, 2012. Every week write down the list of portions of meat you've eaten and tell me how much less was that than your usually amount. So write it down in a file and between Dec 10th~14th you send me your list on my youtube account or you can attach the file and send it to my email jenniferkhattar1@hotmail.com
I need 1,444 acceptance and dedicated people who will REALLY put their heart out doing this.
AND ******** one more CONDITION: You must send me a video sharing your experience and how it helped and what you think about this challenge! Talk about the process and explain to me the difference between before and after regarding your health and the other animals that you will be saving.
To be a part of this, click the light bulb next to youtube's logo and find my challenge and click accept!

Sorry for the crappy quality, I don't have a good webcam, and I didn't prepare this video as well as I've hoped.
